There’s no doubt that Old Spice’s inventive viral ad campaign has captured the hearts of digital America, but are their hilarious web videos translating to increased sales? At first there was some confusion in the matter, but now we can confirm that yes indeed, sales of Old Spice’s hygiene products has increased 107% in the past month.
 
The statistic comes from Nielsen who also revealed that over the longer term of three months, sales increased by 55%.

According to Visible Measures’ Matt Cutler, the total web views for all Old Spice videos have reached 110 million across YouTube and other video platforms.

The overnight success of “Old Spice Guy” Isaiah Mustafa doesn’t stop there. He has also locked down a deal with NBC, who found him to be an “attractive guy who’s just as funny and charming”. He will be appearing on NBC’s “Chuck” as well as Tyler Perry’s, “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf”. He has also been cast in the film “Horrible Bosses” starring opposite Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman.
